For British tourists in search of sun, sand and sangria, or any other alcoholic beverage, Majorca has become very well known.  But the island existed for many centuries before the tourists found it  and the capital, Palma de Mallorca, still has many signs of its historic past.
I suspect few tourists find their way to the old town and miss seeing the quaint old buildings and narrow streets with their hidden courtyards.  The old town is “hidden” behind the better known Cathedral with its connection to Gaudi, the famous Spanish architect, best known for the Sangrada Familia in Barcelona.
